Criterion A: Inquiring and analyzing

Overview:
The design task is to edit videos using effect and make people use lightsaber, a weapon used in Star Wars. I will complete the task to possibly present them in the tech fair 2016. I came up with the idea because presumably, visitors to the tech fair will want to have fun and do something practical so I'll record them playing with sward and replace the sward with lightsaber and send the product to visitors later. This enjoyable project will entertain and impress people. I will interview people if they like Star Wars and will use primary sources and secondary sources to learn how to edit a video and add effect to a video. I will also be spending time on watching original Star Wars movie to get ideas on lightsaber. After interviewing random people I will know more info about the need and want of visitors. I also plan to practice recording video.

Design:
I will record a person playing with toy sward and I will replace the sward with lightsaber using video effect and send them the product if they wish.

Materials:

• PC
• Adobe Premiere Pro(Software)
• Toy sward
• Recording device

Purpose of doing this:

As the movie "Star Wars The Force Awakens" was recently released over the world and many people are dreaming to have a lightsaber(weapon that the characters use) so I thought it's a good idea to let them have it in a video. I will possibly record them wielding a toy sward and edit it later and send them the product.

Target users: Star Wars Fans, especially young children\

Observation: 

I asked random 20 people following questions.

As a result, I found out that many people like light saber and effect of that.

Strengths, weaknesses, opportunity and threats of my idea:

Strengths: Easy and not time consuming Costumers/viewers can enjoy because they're going to find themselves wielding a  lightsaber It is also enjoyable to people who don't know about IT.	Weaknesses: It is not very creative. It could bore non-star-wars-fan people. Each video has to be short if I'm going to edit many videos..
Opportunity; The video-effect skills could be applied to other activities.	Threats: It might seem boring to some viewers as it doesn't include any robot or mechanics

Design Brief:
After conducting interviews with random people and researching about lightsaber and how to make a lightsaber effect, I have imagined and analyzed what the edited video should look like, what it should be made out of and how long it should be. In the design brief below all the important aspects of the video are written down. The video must/should:

• be less than 10 second.
• be bright and interesting.
• include some intense actions.
• be aesthetically attractive.
• have introduction at the beginning.
• be HD.
• have sound effect as well.

Interview to my friend:

Me: I am thinking of "editing video" for tech fair. What do you think of that?

Friend: I think it's interesting because tech fair doesn't have to be full of massive machines or computer program, but I'm not sure if it's going to be successful.

Me: I think people will like idea of "lightsaber" because they must have watched Star Wars and dreamed of having a lightsaber. Do you agree with me?

Friend: Well, I think majority of people like Star Wars and lightsaber so probably they've dreamed of having that, but the thing is, that it should be something more than just editing. You should include something more original.

Me: What should I include?
